Katie Blenkharn joined the firm after March 2011, with the aim of providing high quality accountancy and taxation advice at an affordable price.
What was your experience before JLA Accounting?
I trained and qualified in the North East office of a medium sized accountancy firm where I gained a wide knowledge on SMEs. I worked with a variety of clients based in the North East and North Yorkshire from cafe owners to management consultants.
Why JLA Accounting?
JLA Accounting has offered me the opportunity to support small businesses and help them with all areas of compliance including; year end accounts, VAT, payroll and tax returns.
Do you enjoy working from home?
I love working from home as I live in the idyllic village of Eppleby so get to look out of my office window onto the countryside. This also makes me ideally placed to serve clients in the local area of Manfield, Barton, Melsonby, Middleton Tyas etc. I often meet clients in the lovely cafes of Richmond.
What do you enjoy doing with your time off?
I enjoy spending time in the North Yorkshire countryside with my two sons, husband and labrador. I also enjoy socialising with friends especially when sampling some tasty food is involved!
As well as running JLA Accounting Limited alongside Julie I am also treasurer for the Friends of Eppleby, Forcett and Middleton Tyas school and on the Eppleby and District Gala Committee. With so much going on I find getting out for a run the perfect way to relax!
