Julie Allan set up the firm in March 2011, with the aim of providing high quality accountancy and taxation advice at an affordable price.
What was your experience before JLA Accounting?
I trained and qualified with the Newcastle office of PricewaterhouseCoopers, the largest professional services firm in the world. I then took the opportunity to travel and worked as an accountant in the banking sector in Sydney, Australia. Upon returning to the UK, I worked in a medium sized firm in Darlington for five years, gaining experience in the SME sector.
Why JLA Accounting?
I started my own accountancy practice to enable me to offer a high quality service to clients in a friendly and supportive style. I always offer a timely and professional service while also being approachable.
What local networking do you recommend?
I enjoy attending local Colleagues on Tap days which enable me to network with other local business people whilst also getting a days work done.
What do you enjoy doing with your time off?
I regularly play tennis and attend pilates classes. I enjoy day trips with my family to Newcastle, York and the local seaside.
